Abstract: I will discuss a construction of singular Calabi-Yau metrics near an
isolated singular point with tangent cones that have non-isolated
singularities. This generalizes earlier work of Hein-Naber, and fits into the
general picture of the structure of singular Kahler-Einstein metrics developed
by Donaldson-Sun.
