In the Introduction, the fourth sentence should be replaced by the following: "The closed geodesic P (resp. P_0) is understood with orientation, 
hence it corresponds bijectively to a hyperbolic (resp. primitive hyperbolic) conjugacy class in Gamma (cf. [Sa1])."
